
Kathmandu, March 30: A meeting of the House of Representatives called for 11:00 am on Sunday has been postponed till 11:00 am on Monday. Lawmakers of the ruling parties demanded to run the meeting after lawmakers of opposition parties obstructed it. However, Speaker Devraj Ghimire postponed the meeting for 15 minutes in response to continued obstruction of lawmakers of the opposition parties. The meeting was rescheduled for 4:00 pm by issuing a notice after consensus eluded among political parties. The conduct of meeting called for 4:00 pm also failed, making Speaker Ghimire to postpone the meeting till11:00 am on Monday. It was informed after issuing a notice. Lawmakers of the opposition parties have been obstructing the parliament meeting, demanding Prime Minister's answer to the parliament after the government appointed Hitendra Dev Shakya as Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority by removing Kul Man Ghising from the post.
