Kathmandu, May 20: Lawmakers have drawn the attention of the government towards contemporary issues. During zero hour of today's meeting of the House of Representatives, they urged the government to take initiatives immediately to rescue the people affected from landslide at Tilgaun of Namkha rural municipality-6 in Humla district and provide relief to them. On the occasion, Gyan Bahadur Shahi and Surya Kumari Shrestha asked the government to rescue the people affected due to landslide in Humla as soon as possible even though it has already been five days since the landslide. They also demanded the government to make arrangement of relief for landslide victims soon. Similarly, Dr Swarnim Wagle said there should not be any delay for the construction of second water reservoir –based hydropower project going to be constructed in Tanahun. Urging the general people to be protected from loss caused by rainfall as there is possibility of rainfall for three days, Sita Kumari Rana requested the government to make pre-warning system effective. Likewise, Sita Mijar pointed out the need of digitalizing the government system while Sunita Baral stressed the need of putting the development of information technology at priority in country's economic development. Sumana Shrestha drew government's attention to provide justice to loan shark victims on time and resolve their problems while Sushila Sirpali raised voice to make arrangement of employment in the country. Suhang Nembang stressed the need of effective implementation of plan while Sushila Shrestha suggested the government to bring the employees not maintaining good governance under the ambit of law. Similarly, Surya Prasad Dhakal urged to brief the House about present about the loss of Nepal Electricity Authority while Surya Bahadur Thapa demanded to incorporate the project brought by elected House of Representatives in course of budget allocation. Other HoR members—Hari Dhakal, Hemraj Rai, Gyan Basnet Subedi, among others also drew government's attention on contemporary issues. ---
